Is Sunday a day not to deny yourself, or a day to deny yourself less? Does the answer very from person to person?

Just as everyone should deny themselves on Friday, everyone should rejoice on Sunday. Every Sunday is a solemnity on the Roman calendar, and as a result one should fast only if one has a good reason to do so. Hope this helps.
