It's made of wood, and there IS a corpus on it, along with some other things, like a deer, some other animals and "angels" on the sides, although some say they look like demons. It's really modern-looking and kind of creepy. This is the cross in my college's chapel, and they even made a curtain to go over it because so many people hate the way it looks, or they get "offended" because there's a cross in our "nondenominational" chapel.

Era Might Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 It's hard to say from far away, but it looks pretty good from what I can see. The deer may be a legitimate accessory. I have a 1962 missal with a picture of a deer drinking the overflowing blood coming down from the cross to a chalice.

Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 yea, I go to the same College as photosynthesis. so, I have seen the cross, and it's not a normal cross: with 2 deer at the bottom of it and some other things. I think it's a wrong depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and too modern.
