onathing1 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005
I voted for G'nR, although I love both bands. With AC/DC, you gotta be honest. Once you've heard one of their songs, you've heard them all. :
i agree...they're good, but their songs sound alike.

ltrain Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I like them both--AC/DC more than Guns and Roses. But the character in my published novel-The Gospel of Arnie--likes G&R more. He's a huge fan. best, lee

I meant that all of AC/DC's songs sounded alike.
heavenseeker Posted November 5, 2005 Author Posted November 5, 2005 still more people whear AC/DC shirts than GnR. plus i think AC/DC has a few more hits.
heavenseeker Posted November 5, 2005 Author Posted November 5, 2005 i wish i knew who has never heard of these two bands.

Didymus Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 I voted AcDc. They're in an entire higher classification of rocknroll

Ken Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 GNR are pretty overrated. They have all of a sudden become popular, even though they were only decent from 1988 to like 1994. AC/DC has been rocking since the mid 70s, and still put on a great live show. The clear winner, Social Distortion.

They didn't all of a sudden become popular, trust me, they worked for a very long time for popularity, and when they had finally gotten it, that idiot kurt cobain came and crushed it! and as for AC/DC...well, i admit Axl Rose isn't an amazing singer, but AC/DC I can only take so much of...plus their songs sound the same.
Ken Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Axl Rose is nothing compared to Bon Scott, or Brian Jones. It really does not matter if Nirvana crushed GNR, because AC/DC are still rocking together. The survived grunge, GNR didnt. Besides, there are plenty of great bands whose songs all sound the same. Clear winner, Social Distortion.

Didacus Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 HA! 10 to 10 I actually levelled the score!
jgirl Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I voted for Guns n Roses, but it was with reservations. Axel Rose was banned from performing at one venue in St. Louis because he started a riot back in the 90s.
PadreSantiago Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I'm glad kurt cobain came and crushed GNR as someone said up above. The question as whether you like one of these bands i would think would come down to when you were born. If you were born in the late 70s early 80s you grew up with GNR so I would bet that would be your choice. But if someone grew up listenint to AC/DC you would prefer them. I personally prefer AC/DC they are the epitome of badass rock n roll. GNR is too whiney 80s pop bs although they have some good songs.
