Guest T-Bone Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I used to. I don't anymore. If I can get a cashier job here, I'll take it though.
ofpheritup Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 For years and years on and off. Thankfully right now I am off. The expression "The customer is always right." NOPE, not now not ever. You treat me with respect I will treat you the same way.
Era Might Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Cashiering is pretty easy when you get into a groove. Ring, open draw, dispense, repeat.
Fides_et_Ratio Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I am. I'm also a "bookseller"... until January. Then no more job for me.

Mrs. Bro. Adam Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Been there, done that, don't wanna go back.
Iacobus Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I was and I will be over Christmas Break. The job bites, the work enviroment bites, but a lot of the customers were nice to me (or knew me), the co-workers were okay. Mainly, it is the highest paying job in my home town unless you have a degree (or service in the armed forces). Plus, they give you time and a half on Sundays. That means Sundays mean you get paid at least 9.75 an hour. Not bad for a part time job over breaks and summer.
Old_Joe Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I do sometimes, whenever I'm asked to do take-out at the restaurant I work at. It's alright, but I rarely get tipped. Even then, the tips aren't all that great.
Proud2BCatholic139 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 No, but I handle with money at work and I have a drawer, but that doesn't really count. Well, I guess it does, but I do other things.

zabbazooey Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 I worked as a cashier for 2 months at a party goods store that sells costumes, masks, wigs, that kind of stuff during HALLOWEEN last year when I was 16. Working ridiculously long hours when your barely 16 smells of elderberries...I decided one day (a few days after halloween) that I was not going into work that day. And I quit.
sweetpea316 Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 I used to... that's all I did when I worked in high school. Now I have a nice little desk job... much better.
PadrePioOfPietrelcino Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 I do I'm a cashier at Wal-Mart even and I love it. I may be one of the only cashiers in the world that doesn't mind angry customers. In fact when I'm faced with and angry customer, I am glad that I have a willful choice to stay patient and loving, or let that person iritate me and turn my attitude sour. When I choose to stay loving and to follow Christ's example in the diffuclt times like that it becomes my willful following and acceptance of Christ, and turning towards God for help. Ah, the simple jobs in life can help turn you to Christ so much.
prose Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I used to, it was my third favorite job. Now I am a youth minister (second favorite job) and a mom (Favorite job)
Lounge Daddy Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 my new 2nd job involves a lot of cashiering good times - esp getting into the holliday
