Basically, Google Scholar is a search engine that searches "scholarly" resources. It's like a search engine that searches the contents of databases, so you don't have to look through each one. Most of the stuff on it requires a subscription, but if you have access to an academic library's databases that's no problem. You also find a lot of good free stuff, like dissertations and conference precedings, but you have to be careful, because sometimes it's a paper a professor wrote his freshmen year and decided to add to his faculty website.

morostheos Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Since leaving college my website diversity has diminished signficantly. I looked through my history to see what non-Catholic websites I visit on a regular basis, and here's what I came up with: 1. http://www.google.com 2. http://www.wikipedia.com 3. http://www.netflix.com 4. http://www.hokiesports.com plus other things like web banking, bill pay, etc (boring stuff) That's pretty pitiful. What can I say, I'm obsessed with Catholicism!
