50 CENT SLAMS KANYE'S 'BUSH IS RACIST' COMMENT

[font="Courier"]Rapper 50 CENT has lashed out at fellow hip-hop star KANYE WEST for accusing US President GEORGE W BUSH of racism in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

The IN DA CLUB star believes human intervention could not have prevented the effects of the hurricane, which killed over a thousand people in the US gulf states in August (05), and sees no point in reprimanding the President for something which was beyond his control.

He says, "The New Orleans disaster was meant to happen. It was an act of God.

"I think people responded to it the best way they can.

"What KANYE WEST was saying, I don't know where that came from."

Wow...amen 50! Its rumored that he is catholic, in one of his songs he's like "i got a jesus medallion as dope as the pope". or something like that..

Posted

But the rest of his music's pretty far from being Christian-influenced.

"I don't know where that came from"? Not exactly a "slam".

while i dont care for his music and his lyrics to his songs, i have a teeny tiny bit more respect for him..at least he's not blaming the President for something that was beyond his control like most dumb people are.

I would say less of a slam and more of a tap.

I see it as another stunt to start beef with Kanye since 50 is known as the beef starter.

First he disses Ja Rule, then the Game, Fat Joe, and now Kanye.

He needs to stop before someone puts some more bullets in him and he will never be able to rap about it in another song.

The state of hip hop is in peril.

Eminem also has flashes of lyrics kind of like that...the one chorus to a song "evil deeds" from his most recent cd "encore".
"father please forgive me for I know not what I do, I just never had the chance to ever meet you, therefore I did not know that I would grow to be, my mother's evil seed and do these evil deeds" (although he might have been talkin about his dad)

also in the song:
"please God, give me the strength to have what it takes to carry on, till I pass 50 back the baton, the camera's on, my soul is gone"

the thing i like about 50 is that you never hear him makeing songs about how the goverment issued aids( aka kanye west) , or all that farakan black power stuff......50 is usually always rapping about subject matter that is a reality of a sin indulged world we all live in.....now im not praising him by any means...because in my opionon he glamorizes the gangsta lifestyle to much of the time.....which is terrible.........the thing i like about him though is so far he hasnt come across as racist or a person who despises the president ( btw a president that God put in office for a reason) his movie looks interesting to........i'll prolly check it out........

Couldn't agree more...

I was watching a documentary about hip hop beefs, and KRS-ONE made a good point about how the entire point of rap battles to begin with was so that people didn't have to pick up a gun. You could show who's the man with knowledge and creativity, rather than violence. Some people need to be reminded of that.

i agree with ya..................plus....if 50 really made those comments about the bush kanye thing......then he's speaking like a mature adult.....it has nothing to do with publicity........he has so much of that anyhow.......i wish he would go at kanye actually........kanye pisses me off.........

He's not dissing him. He's calling Kanye on his carp.

I have a bit more respect for him now. Just a bit.

I think they should both listen to P5C.

Maybe that would help. ^_^

50 Cent Catholic?

I remember reading an interview with 50 in ROLLING STONE in 2003 in which he claimed that he's shot a lot of people over the years (his remark right after was, "I ain't saying who!"). It could just be him building his "gangsta" street cred, seeing as most of his success is due to his supposedly rough life -- "shot 9 times!" and all of that -- but I don't know.

Well, I know that if Brian Welch, the former guitarist from "Korn", has his way, then 50 Cent will soon become a Christian, with the Holy Spirit's leading of course.

Here it is--very interesting--from mtv.com.

Brian 'Head' Welch Aims To Save 50 Cent
03.14.2005 3:53 PM EST

Ex-Korn guitarist calls new song a 'letter to 50 from God.'

Since he left Korn last month to focus on Christianity, Brian "Head" Welch has delivered a sermon from the pulpit, traveled to Israel and been baptized in the Jordan River. Now he's turning his attention to saving souls — and he's decided to start with 50 Cent.

On Friday, Welch e-mailed MTV News detailing his trip to Israel (see "Claiming 'God Told Me' Brian 'Head" Welch Is Baptized In Israel"), where he began working on solo material to be released under the moniker Head. One of the songs he discussed in detail was — as he described it — "a personal letter to 50 from God," which he may or may not release, depending on 50's reaction to it.

"The Big Guy speaks through me a lot when I write, and I have a song for 50 Cent I wrote in the Holy Land. I feel like it's a personal letter to 50 from God, so I'm going to give it to him personally and see what his reaction is," Welch wrote. "If it's a positive reaction and he's willing to talk to me, then I'm not gonna release it, but if the reaction is not positive, I'm going to share it with the world."

Welch said he doesn't fear retribution from 50; rather, he feels protected by the fact that he's merely acting as an emissary between God and the former Curtis Jackson.

"It's not a mean song, but it is like a loving father disciplining his son and telling him how it is — kind of like Tré's dad in the movie 'Boyz N the Hood,' " Welch continued. "There is really no way he can come back at me through music because it's not from me ... it's from the Big Guy. Even 50 respects the Big Guy."

50 Cent's spokesperson at Interscope Records had no comment on the songs.

One guy Welch might have a little beef with is his former bandmate, Jonathan Davis. Last weekend, Davis posted a statement on his blog, criticizing Welch for his "false crusade." In another e-mail, Welch responded to Davis, saying he still loves his Korn brethren, but that he was beginning to bristle at those who doubt the sincerity of his transformation.

"Sorry Jonathan, my 'false crusade' was not the reason I left Korn, it was what saved my life," Welch wrote. "I still love those guys to death, but if anybody trashes God, I am human and will defend Him and myself by any means necessary."

Welch's solo CD is close to being completed, and he adds that he's just finished one instrumental track called "A Letter to Dimebag," which he wrote in tribute to the late guitar legend.

"It's a guitar-solo instrumental," he explained. "I wrote it for Dimebag because he always used to tell Munky and I to put guitar solos in Korn's music."

At press time, there was no release date for Welch's solo album, nor had he signed on with a label to distribute the record.

Brian Welch needs to spend a little less time on his personal "crusade" and a little more time looking inward and discovering what Christianity is all about -- that would be, discovering the Holy and Apostolic Catholic faith.

It pains me to see these "born again" types with their heads spinning in ten different directions, preaching Christianity to people when they have no idea what it's really all about, on their own with no education in the faith but personal reading of the Bible (which, without the guidance of the Church, is very much a maze). Even though their hearts are generally in the right place, sometimes I wonder whether they are doing more harm than good.

I'm not sure what to think about 50. He's an amazing talent when it comes to rapping and entertainment, but it seems like he sells out too much.. when he wants to be he can be a great songwriter, but yeah...
