at0m1c Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 It is immoral because it demeans the people the people acting in it and also becuse it demeans the original purpose of it. Now, what if it is in the form of Japanese Animation? There are plenty of Hentai shows around.
phatcatholic Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 animated pornography is still pornography

Didacus Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 The act itself is demeaned, either with real people or cartoons. Intercourse flaunted for everyone to see turns an act of love into an act of self indulging pleasure.
tojo Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 You have to be careful with Japanese stuff. My (devout furure priest) friend studied in Japan last semester and he said it there was porn openly all over, like impossible not to see on billboards and in stores next to the milk. He walked around with his glasses off a lot, lol. So not only do they have a lot a porn, like us, unlike us they are much less ashamed of it, it's not as taboo...
at0m1c Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 lol, they have those underwear dispensers too...
philothea Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Yeah, Japanese culture is definitely different. I remember a big lawsuit with Mitsubishi in IL... I don't remember exactly what it was, something like the execs hired strippers for a party for the workers, and the, ah, female workers didn't much appreciate this. At the time I was as shocked as anyone, but now that I know a lot more about Japan, I realize they were just trying to be nice to their workers! The executives probably have no idea why people got upset.
beatty07 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Stay away from it man! That stuff will drag you to places you can't even imagine. And it's a good thing you can't. It's always the same story. A guy or gal starts with the "soft" stuff. Eventually they don't feel aroused without it. And it's an addiction like drugs...that's not a metaphor, it really does alter brain chemistry. Like any other such thing, as time goes by it takes more and more to cause the same stimulation. Ask any binge drinker or coke addict. Porn is the same! This is epidemic in our culture...it is SHREDDING our families. The only taboo left is to admit how far we've fallen.
beatty07 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 oops, I forgot what forum I was in...you're looking for good arguments, not personal advice! Well anyway, I think the biochemical angle can be really effective. The effect on the soul is the real issue, but with a lot of people this angle hits harder...I guess it's more concrete for them.
phatcatholic Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 ur fine beatty all good points, thank you
