i have a question! on all souls day, we had this special mass in our parish for all the people of the parish that had died in the past year. i was serving mass with another girl. at the sign of peace, Fr. told us he was short and asked if we would distribute the Precious Blood. We didn't really know what to do/say, so we did it... but neither of us are comissioned........... is this a sin?! should i confess it!? i feel a little bit uneasy about it and would like to know if i should confess this! thanks a bundle and a bunch. God's blessings!

It's a little unusual but not all that uncommon. A priest can deligate for a single time only a lay person to help him to distribute the Eucharist. This should not happen but if the nominated ministers didn't turn up then the priest can ask for assistance. The nominated lay person in Australia should be at least 18 I don't know what the age is in the USA however You didn't do anything wrong.

plus, even if you did do something wrong, u didn't know any better so you can hardly be accused of sinning mortally.
