I voted for option 3 but I should've voted for option 1. Feet are very important. From my experience its a good indication of how tidy a girl is if she keeps her feet and room clean. Lotsa people neglect the things they think people wont see e.g. feet but when the take the time to carefully tend to those issues it illustrates to me that they're trusty. If anyone is wondering what I mean by trusty come and live in London for awhile. Here many, many girls are more than willing to make sure they put moisturiser on their legs to make them look nice to attract men but they care very little about their feet. This approach towards physical appearance is normally coupled with a tendency towards being willing to have 'relations' without too much hassle. Maybe its just the big city...?

In my own experience I've found that giving a woman a gift card for a pedicure was extraordinarily well received.



This was distinctly different than the gift card for a bikini wax.

I disagree. I dont do pedicures on my feet regularly, especially when the cold Maine winters roll 'round. Im not the type to be careless with my virtue because of my lack of interest in my feet. I also just moisturize my legs and neglect my feet. I don't think thats a good way to gauge if a girl is easy.

Anyway, I like toenails to be clipped, thats all I think.

Not to belabor the hijack

For years I've given my mother and (when she was alive) grandmother baskets of soaps and bath oils for Mother's day. All well received and requested.

I was basically saying "Hey mom your hygiene ain't the greatest. Here's some stuff to help"

The pedicures were well received but I wasn't that a knock on their personal maintenance as well?

Logically, I figured that all forms of maintenance were to be well received as a gift card.

No no no!

Bath soaps, oils, and pedicures are all relaxing. They are something a woman can enjoy.

Bikini waxes are painful events! You gave a gift card for pain!

I give myself pedicures all the time. I think feet are weird and so try to keep them as nice as possible. So when I get a gift card for one at a salon, I don't take it as a knock to my feet hygiene. I take it as "hey you've got nice feet, so take a break and let a pro take care of it for once."

We're all about belaboring hijacks here.

One of my very good friends and I have discussed pedicures as a cultural phenomenon. She's black, and said it's common in the circles she grew up in for boyfriends to pay for their girlfriends' pedicures. Most recently, she dated a white guy, and he had the audacity to make a comment IN PUBLIC about her rough feet (bad, bad move, guys). She went OFF on him then, and then to me later on more than one occasion, about how if she were dating a black man her pedicures would have been paid for, no questions asked, and that if he wanted to foot the bill he could complain about her feet, but if he didn't, he couldn't.

You could just give a spa gift card, and then she could use it for whatever she wanted -- facial, pedi, mani, various waxes, etc.
