DAF Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 So I was discussing differences and similarities in our faiths with a rather ditzy jewish girl. Anyway, she stumbled upon a good question, so now I'm here seeking an answer (after all, a good apologist doens't necessarily have all the answers, but knows to ask for them. Put that one in your back pocket ) Anyway, so if Jesus came "not to change the law but to fulfill it" why are our traditions and doctrines so different nowadays? I have a good idea of the answer, but want to get your input on the subject. Thanks much, In Christ

that question is too vague for me to give much of a response. we find the seeds of many of our doctrines and traditions in the Old Testament. have her give you specific examples and then you can either provide for her the evidence of those examples in the OT or explain to her how what we currently believe and practice is a fulfillment of what the Jews possessed.
