When you go to someone's page, underneath their picture, there's a box with options, and one of them says "Add as friend". Click that. They'll send an email and see if that person want's to be your friend or not, and if they accept, you're good to go.

thanx everyone, it's been nuts trying to get onto myspace and the internet since my DSL at home has mysteriously crashed... ...so I'll probably be either at Penn State (York) comp lab or I'll sit outside the library at night using the wireless connection (but I dunno it's getting pretty cold). the banner is how myspace makes their services free. You can break the rules and disable it with code, or you can just pay for your account.

Congtrats thats great on joining myspace, but be very careful. Its so easy to just lose yourself on there on start seeing some things you shouldnt.
