Guest Josip Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Hello, If death entered through Adam (for humans, animals) then why did dinosaurs die? Dinosaurs supposedly coming before humans, though the exact date they are pinned at is presumptious (i.e. circular reasoning, it isn't carbon dating or anything solid of the sort that gives us their age). Laudate_Dominum Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Adam and Eve were created in a sinless state which included a personal communion with God that is lacking in the fallen state. Basically, man by nature is mortal, but by grace he is immortal. Adam and Eve were created with preternatural gifts so there initial state was you might say supernatural. They were immortal by virtue of the communion with God that they enjoyed. The death that was introduced by sin was two-fold: the spiritual death of alienation from God and loss of the preternatural gifts; and the resulting state of mortality or immanent bodily death. Dinosaurs, I suppose, have never enjoyed a preternatural state.
