I've read a bunch of Msgr. Albacete's articles though... It is as Flannery O'Connor said: "Today we feel more, but we see less." /hijack
ForHimAlone Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Honestly, the times of spiritual aridity we feel can be the most beautiful times of our life. It is sometimes during the moments when we feel the most arid or the furthest from God that He draws us the closest to Himself. Just stay strong. The arid periods of faith can be very very painful, but remain faithful. These are the instances where we really can see ourselves for who we are and discover more of Who God is. Faithfulness in aridity is very pleasing to God. Trust in Him. These phases don't last forever. This shall pass. Just hang in there and pledge fidelity to God with your every breath, even if you can't feel Him or don't think He's there.
Fidei Defensor Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 Bump.. My mind is running wild again with doubts. Please pray.
