philothea Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 (I'm hesitant to post this separately, but on the off-chance someone interested missed my 3 AM post in an old thread...) The novel I have been mentioning here on occasion, The Dragon and the Butterfly is complete in its almost-final draft. If anyone here wants to read it, reply here, drop me a PM, or send me an email at circle@mtco.com and give me your email address. It's a fantasy/science fiction novel, about 350-400 pages in book form. Somewhat violent, but nothing graphic or icky. I don't need in-depth criticism; I'm just interested to hear what people think. No hurry on the comments, either. I'm not going to revise anything for a couple months. (And while I'm thrilled to have anyone read, I have good critiquers already. You don't need to offer just because you feel sorry for me. ) Soooo... lemme know! : Next chance will be at the book store... (Oh! I crack myself up.)
Sojourner Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 I got it, printed it out, and am going to take it with me on my upcoming trip. Woo hoo!
Carrie Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 You said it was between 350 and 400 pages, but the PDF file I got has 248 pages. Am I missing some?

My page estimate was just so people could get an idea of how much time reading would take. I usually tell people a word count, but then people ask how many pages that is.
Jaime Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 I think you're awesome Philothea Oh wait, that feedback is hardly novel.

philothea Posted November 22, 2005 Author Posted November 22, 2005 I forgot to mention... Underline in the text indicates italics. I have to use underline in a manuscript, and I haven't figured out any way to global-replace formatting in the new word processor. I apologize for any confusion. (Why does this occur to me at 1:30 AM?)
