franciscanheart Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 okay so who knows the name of a book (or some books) that are writings of St Teresa of Avila. I've gone to about three bookstores now looking for one and so far have been unsuccessful. You'd think SOMEONE would know about the Catholic books they had (especially considering the area of town) but nope. No one could help me. So now I'm counting on yall.... any suggestions?
Thy Geekdom Come Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 The Way of Perfection and the Interior Castle The first is a bunch of rules for prayer and spiritual life (it's largely geared toward nuns) and the second is a book using the metaphor of rooms in a castle for spiritual growth.

Amazon is a good resource as are the Discalced Carmelites themselves.
