The movie is just ok.

I don't think that it is as good as the first two although it is close to the third.

I am a fan of the Chris Columbus Harry Potter's, though.

While I understand that they are growing up and things are going to change, the movie is WAAAAYYYY to mature for the kids that are going to see it. There is too much fantasy violence, there is too much veiled sexual tension. While that is fine for adults, it is not so much for kids.

The little girl I was sitting next to was scared witless through several scenes. That was not fun to see.....

Since I've seen Rent on Broadway and at the Orpheum (Minnesotans will know what I am talking about), I can't wait to see it in the theatre. I sincerely hope that it will be a good movie. I am praying that it will be a good movie. It will be a good movie, right?

Well, it's supposed to have most of the original cast in it, so I'm hoping that is a point in its favor.

It's true. I avoid touristy areas as much as possible. Tourists are great but sometimes the mobs are just plain aggravating when you are trying to get somewhere in a hurry (like most other nyers, I'm in a perpetual hurry). There have been times when I've said "hon, you can look at the pretty building without blocking the middle of the sidewalk, thanks." As Didacus says "purgatory, purgatory."

Thinking about it, it really isn't the tourists. I just don't like crowds.

Back to HP, I've heard from friends that its a little scarier than they expected. They saw some younger children that were really scared.

I've seen the new Pride and Prejudice! lol, it came out a few weeks ago. I thought it was ok. Nowhere near as good as the BBC version I love the BBC version (yup, all six hours of it! ) The setting was good, but there was no subtlety. I love Jane Austens subtlety, and her irony....well, there isn't too much of it in the movie....

Narnia comes out on my bday!!!!!!!! I'll see it then too :
