Funky_R Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 I'll admit, I do like anime and am proud of it. Of course, nowadays I'm very picky on what I choose, because there's a lot of trashy anime out there. Of course the same thing can be said for all media.
philothea Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Yep, I'm an anime fan too. Currently watching: RahXephon, Slayers, Blue Seed, Maze (TV), and Escaflowne. Favorite series so far: Big O.
benedict_x Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 I like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Final Fantasy Unlimited, Full Metal Alchemist, Chrno Crusade (Catholic Anime!), Xenosaga, Appleseed.. Anything there you like as well?
Aloysius Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 alright, I'm going to admit something here I rarely admit- I watch Full Metal Alchemist. No other anime though, but for some reason I got hooked on this Full Metal Alchemist thing... lol so there, now you know.

Aloysius Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 haha I'm so ashamed! nah, it was just so weird and confusing at first that it intrigued me... but now I find it very strangely entertaining... espcially the whole theme of trying to restore disorder .. and of course I'm a sucker for any story about a life on a quest haha but yeah...
photosynthesis Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 i can barely keep in touch with what's on American TV, much less stuff from other countries
Myles Domini Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Japanimation is awesome! I havent seen too much since my digital tv provider went bankrupt but I still got my hands on the Samurai X OAV's. TOONAMI!
desertwoman Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Why yes, I am a big anime fan. I"m watching Inuyasha and reading the magna books for it now. I like Full Metal as well, Samurai Champloo, Escaflowne, Gundam, Paranoia Agent, Zenke, guyver...etc
philothea Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 (replying to various comments above) I really want to see Full Metal Alchemist, but I don't watch anime on TV, I buy the DVDs, so I haven't seen it yet. I have the Xenosaga game... haven't played it yet. I just ordered Inu Yasha to console myself as I wait for agent and publisher responses. At, what, 160+ episodes, it might be long enough. If I spred it out... Actually, the only "TV" I watch is anime DVDs. I admit Japanese morality is not much like Catholic morality. I wouldn't recommend it for confused or young people!
DemonSlayer Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Not really, some movies are alright, I haven't seen too many, but Sprited Away was pretty good and although I saw it ages ago Ninja Scroll was as well.
Guest Rick777 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 nope im not really into it? whats so great about it, I'm not trying to be smart or anything I really just never saw it, is it good?

"Anime" is any animated fictional series or movie made in Japan. It's about anything, but most common are sci-fi, fantasy, and martial arts. (Or some combination of all three.) 90% of anime is intended for adults, and often the stories are very sophisticated.

TheOliverOrder88 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Trigun... Maybe some Cowboy Bebop. My anime friend (knows I'm Catholic) said I would like Helsing, and I didn't. He also said I would like this one which was about a vampire priest that worked for the Vatican. A vampire priest...?.... ...working for the Vatican?....I dont think B16 would approve.
Theoketos Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Spirited Away is in my top 10 movies. The Gibli Studios is something every one can apperciate. Also I like Evagelium, the Gundam Wing Series, and of Course, Dragon Ball Z, which has the best love between Father and Son of any show I have ever seen. I know quite a bit japanese by watching these shows.
PadreSantiago Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Ninja scroll! Evangelion! Dragon ball and dragon ball z. Ghost in the shell of course.
