Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I happened to have gotten two copies of the book and I was wondering if anyone wanted it. I might have to ask with help with shipping and maybe a small fee for the book (like a total of $4-5) But it depends, I think I may just ask for shipping, or I might just be generous and give it to whomever desires it without any chanrges whatsoever It's this one:
Fidei Defensor Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I'll let someone else request it if they want.. I dont *need* it, but that looks like a good book.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted November 22, 2005 Author Posted November 22, 2005 It is a good book (I haven't read it yet though... ) Seriously, anyone interested should just let me know It's open to whomever!

beatty07 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Read it! Teresa is wicked awesome! I just had a whole 3 credit seminary class on her.
DAF Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I would like it, but fidei defensor can have it if he likes. With that smiley he seems very excited about it. But if he decides to yield, i would take it.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 Someone needs to jump the gun and send me a pm... I cannot decide for all of you! Whomever is first will most likely be on the receiving end, but here is another opportunity for you all... Also, I made yet another blunder! I have two copies of a book again, this time it is Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence: The Secret of Peace and Happiness written by Father Jean Baptiste Saint-Jure, S.J. and Saint Claude de la Colombiere, S.J. "The following pages were written by a well-known French religious writer of the 17th century, Father Jean Baptiste Saint-Jure (1588-1657), and are an extract from his great work entitled The Knowledge and Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which was the constant companion during the life of the saintly Cure of Ars. To them has been added a further extract from the writings of Saint Claude de la Colombiere (1641-1682)." The book is about 140 pages long, but it is also a smaller book that could almost fit in a pocket. Here is what the book looks like:
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 I think we may have two to own these two books... I just need to hear back from them...
Old_Joe Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 (edited) I'd be willing to take "the way of perfection" off of your hands. Edited November 28, 2005 by Old_Joe
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 That makes 6 people interested in getting The Way of Perfection Maybe I should just do a lottery? What do you all think... I don't want to tick one of the first ones to express interest because I gave it to one of the later that was interested as well... I could always give both copies of the book or lend it or something...
Guest T-Bone Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 We could start a "book-chain" scheme... I'll organize it if anyone is interested
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 Just an update, zabbazooey has called Trustful Surrender so that one is no longer avaliable. : Now we need to sort the whole Way of Perfection thing... I might just see who all expresses interest and then I have a drawing to see who gets it. Does that seem fair?
Guest T-Bone Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I want it. If I don't get it, it's not fair! Really, put me in for the drawing!
oakleyswitch Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 what is it about? are there pictures? i like pictures!
karin Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 what translation of the way of perfection is it? if it is the one by allison e. peers i want to be in the drawing for it too please.
journeyman Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I would love to be in the drawing . . . but since the text is available at ccel (http://www.ccel.org/ccel/teresa/way.html) I'll pass in favor of the rest of the applicants also EWTN www.ewtn.com/library/SPIRIT/WAYPERF.TXT Intratext www.intratext.com/X/ENG0034.htm - 14k - Cached - Similar pages Catholic First www.catholicfirst.com/thefaith/catholicclassics/stteresa/way/wayofperfection.cfm www.catholicfirst.com/thefaith/catholicclassics/stteresa/way/wayofperfection.htm
oakleyswitch Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Nada. Nothing to see here.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted November 29, 2005 Author Posted November 29, 2005 It's allright... really it is... And it is translated by the Benedictines of Stanbrook Now, this is really becoming a big deal... if anything I would not ask for more than $5 if one is willing to pay and that would cover s&h. If you find yourself lacking resources, then I will just ship it off to you. I know that there are several that are very interested and seeing that there seems to be a growing number, I may have to do a lotto, even considering that I was hoping for a first come first serve This stuff can be difficult and mind boggling! Now, I will only allow until midnight tonight for anyone to express interest, after that, I will have a drawing and see what turns up. I will draw 2 or 3 names and we will continue from there via PM.
