Aloysius Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 so... what pious practice are you going to replace not eating meat with this friday? and don't lie, we all know you're doing it, you're eatin meat. mmmm tuuurkey... so, what are you doing as a special penitential or pious practice for friday that you don't usually do on other days of the week?

Aloysius Posted November 25, 2005 Author Posted November 25, 2005 on Fridays throughout the year you are either supposed to not eat meat or replace that with another penance or pious act to commemorate the Lord's death on a Friday. on fridays in lent, you cannot replace the not eating meat, you have to add another penance or pious act on top of that for the whole season but still not eat meat on fridays and if we're not supposed to talk about this, then we shouldn't talk about what we give up for lent either I suppose.. if you want to keep things private you can, otherwise there's no seal on it that prevents our discussion of it... haha I imagine Toys R Us would be a penitential act on a day like today

My mom starts attending mass Sunday on a regular basis. did buy something for self...but I did go to mass!
