Gender neutral toilets for non-heteronormatives

Well if the boy wasn't trying to make himself look like a girl, there wouldn't be this problem.
And if you really think it's his right to be a "girl," then he can go to the ladies' room and use the stalls (who'll notice if he looks so much like a girl?)

Can we have Hair Neutral Bathrooms... I hate having to be near the bald <<...

are these public restrooms, with stalls and urinals and maxi pad dispensers, or are they single bathrooms? I like the idea of having more gender neutral single bathrooms, but I think having gender neutral public bathrooms would be awkward for EVERYONE.

I think a lot of people would use single bathrooms though, not just transexuals but also people with elderly/disabled relatives and people with small children

i had to deal with that last summer... I signed up for summer housing, thinking that the houses would be co-ed by floor (i.e. guys on one flor, girls on another flor, etc, shared kitchen and commons room) which is the normal setup at my school. they didn't even tell us beforehand that it was coed by room. let's just say that I heard a lot of strange noises when I was trying to brush my teeth, almost every day. it was horrible!

Those are the only gender neutral bathrooms I've seen, for family use... More so for families with small children, so they always can have an adult to go with them...

Other than that, both sets of bathrooms should be properly equipped for either sets... They have a toilet and a stall... All you need... If you need anything else and are this situation, either smell of elderberries it up and go in the right bathroom or bring what you need with you

subject of transgendered bathrooms came up at my school recently. Apparently, 5 people came forward and said they didn't feel comfortable going to the bathroom on campus. Well, out of a university of 21,000 those 5 are poised to actually get their wishes.
My tuition money is going to accomodate them, and I'm not pleased about it. From what I understand they are supposed to live as the gender they choose, so my thinking is pick one and shut up. There's no need to spend money to make unisex bathrooms.

This is a University academic building. what children? people don't bring them. the elderly and disabled can use the bathrooms provided on the first floor, and they have an elevator to use.

Personally, I feel that if a person needs help going to the bathroom they should definitely exercise more prudence in where they choose to spend the day. Or, make sure they bring a friend or nurse of the same sex to help them. And every bathroom I've ever been in has had handicapped stalls. If that's not enough, the previous sentence applies.

what about a spouse? when my grandpa had alzheimers' disease it was awkward for my grandma to have to take him into the ladies room, or into the men's room.

well, i was just suggesting something that would solve the problem of many different groups needing gender neutral bathrooms.

ok so someoen brings up the idea of just single-shot bathrooms. one toilet, one sink. the kind in everyones houses. i suppose this would satiate any of the concernes anyone has. just make it lockable and there you go. clearly the problem is pubclicity, not gender.

keep in mind, i dont agree with a person changing their gender.
