We have all waited for different things at different times in our lives. And you are ABSOLUTELY right when you use the word painful. That is exactly what it is. I am at God right now. I am waiting for something in my life too. And while I am trying to understand His will and even that the waiting is His best for me I am still very much . We are human. OH TRUST ME WHEN I SAY I UNDERSTAND. Some days I just want to I want to tell you that while yes the waiting is painful there will be a day when all the waiting will be a memory. Determine TODAY to be the best source of God's love where you are. Just shower and shower and shower love on the people God will send you today. It helps mitigate the pain somewhat. It is how I combat my own pain. And it makes the time go by a little faster. And the people around you will be inspired by you. Especially the ones who know you are hurting.

Paperwork, Dental and doctor exams, and Do you have to meet with a counselor/psychologist? This is not for myself...I think the 3 children dearly hanging on to me would make it a tad difficult for me to heave myself over the convent wall : I thought perhaps this might be of use to other young ladies who might be called to the Dominican nuns. karin Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 well duh the only have 3 sister for right now, they are in the process of refounding all Monastery started that way that's why they need lots of vocations! I am so excited to be a part of refounding this Monastery. There is paperwork i have already filled out because you fill it out for the aspirancy and dental and doctor exams but no counselor/psychologist thing. THe paperwork is exstensive because they have to have it that way when letting some one into their sacred enclosure. I was just wondering if you decided to enter the cloister or to be an extern. In JMJ

But really there is something undescrible about my attraction to i cant really explain i just know thats what God want and i want it too very badly.

I'm going to enter the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, and I've found the rule of St. Augustine online, but I haven't actually sat down and read it yet. I think it's awesome that you've been able to go and live it for a while!

Karin [right][snapback]802950[/snapback][/right] [/quote] Yes from going thru the paperwork it is not easy, you get this booklet for an application it's very imtimidating, but once you go thru everything it is like so worth all the time and money that you extend. There was a dental, eye and physical. They do ask for a dowery. Again it is well worth it. I used to joke to my mom that I was filling out paperwork for the pentagon!

I think that was part of the reason my bag felt so heavy coming home : All the same, the Vocation Directoress and Mother also suggested that I might discern a vocation as an extern sister. Never in my life did I think I would have a contemplative vocation but as you said Karin, there is something that is attractive, in a way draws me to look at this life. All I know is that I do want to return the good sisters as well.

I say that is exciting. We have a whole lotta saints who had the same call and despite their hardships, we are the heirs to their faithfulness.

I am sorry I just couldn't. However I do know a really good joke that EMT's tell in there class, How do you know how far back you need to be at a HAZ MAT situation?
