Fidei Defensor Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, -nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death. Dihydrogen monoxide: -is also known as hydroxyl acid, and is the major component of acid rain. -contributes to the "greenhouse effect." -may cause severe burns. -Thousands die each year after inhaling dihydrogen monoxide -contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape. -accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals. -may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes. -has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients. Contamination Is Reaching Epidemic Proportions! Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the midwest, and recently California. Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used: -as an industrial solvent and coolant. -in nuclear power plants. -in the production of styrofoam. -as a fire retardant. -in many forms of cruel animal research. -in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical. -as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products. Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer! The Horror Must Be Stopped! The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its "importance to the economic health of this nation." In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billiondollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use. scardella Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Yeah, I remember that one... That crazy dihydrogen monoxide, it gets me every time!
morostheos Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Horrible stuff - I spent most of my college years studying its effects in depth! :
Socrates Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Terrible! That stuff was even falling from the clouds earlier tonight!

The horrible tissue burning frozen form is all over the ground here! I'm afraid to leave the house!
DAF Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Yeah, this summer people were almost literally swimming in the stuff! (I assume you guys saw that special on BullSh*t on HBO, with Penn and Teller? That was a riot!)
Jaime Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 When my grandfather died (God rest his soul) it had consumed over 90% of his body.
Laudate_Dominum Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 dihydrogen monoxide? why isn't this front page news!!! this is terrible!! oh the humanity! :weeps: And I recently found out that there is a lot of dihydrogen monoxide in starbucks coffee! and let us not forget that excessive amounts of dihydrogen monoxide vapor have caused untold deaths in automobile accidents and even plane crashes!! How many people will have to die before we wise up?
RC_ Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 It is found in ice cream. Children's ice cream! What kind of sinister pinko commie plot is that?
Guest T-Bone Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Ahem...
Do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk, ice cream? Ice cream, Mandrake? Children's ice cream!...You know when fluoridation began?...1946. 1946, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual, and certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works...
Is that what you were refering too?
prose Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 My poor two year old also has it consuming most of her body!! Oh what to do, what to do??
Sojourner Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 I stepped in some on the way to work. I think it's going to ruin my shoes.
prose Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 I, personally am addicted, so I can't support this ban, I am sorry... I just NEEEED it....
Dreamweaver Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 A few days ago we had a nasty storm that dumped thousands of tons of crystalline DHMO all over everything. Streets, cars, school yards, you name it. In fact, I bet children are playing in the crystalline DHMO right now. More than a handful of them will ingest it. Our schools are doing nothing to prevent this tragedy!
Thy Geekdom Come Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 You know, I went to get some water at Walmart...the stuff is purified by reverse osmosis...and it STILL has a very high percentage* of DHMO in it! You'd think that a Fortune 500 company would have enough concern for their customers to take care of that! Someone get me the Better Business Bureau! *100%
homeschoolmom Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 I hate to say it, but back in college... I used to carry a large bottle of DHMO with me... I was addicted... sadly, I still use on occasion...

My friend calls it my "baba" because I drink out of it all the time. I used to try to hide it, but I gave that up ages ago. Now I just shamelessly drink whenever I feel the urge.
