Those crazy Europeans.
homeschoolmom Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 "We wanted to represent the Bible in a different way and to interest young people," Swell....
sweetpea316 Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I wish I could give them a Theology of the Body lesson...
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I'm sorry, mind if I puke? What the heck? That is pretty much gonna be like Biblical pornography! That just makes me sick... and they are photos too... "Anyway, it doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that you are forbidden to show yourself nude." So now they are giving a reason for why its okay for people to make porn? That is what this seems like... PS Don't go to the website advertising the calander... nice graphic images on the home page
Ave Maria Totus Tuus Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 (edited) right on, Theology of the Body!!! Edited December 5, 2005 by Ave Maria Totus Tuus

Didacus Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 LOL Nothing like showing the 'fun' part of the bible by showing all hte sinful ways one can adopt... SFD!!!
Thy Geekdom Come Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 It's like they're saying, "in order to make the faith more relevant, we've decided to stop calling it 'the faith' and start calling it 'the ultra-cool hip, postmodern, retro, grunge, punk, preppy thing that appeals to a multitude of pluralities (because that's precisely what it seeks to appeal to)."
Aloysius Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 if all it is is nudity in religious artwork, that's not unheard of, that's a good thing... though I don't know it's never legitimately gone to the photograph level yet but marketing it as "erotic" destroys any hopes I had that maybe it was just being artistic and good.
Myles Domini Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 What I said when I saw that add I cannot repeat in public. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have Mercy upon me, a sinner...
Moosey Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 "We wanted to represent the Bible in a different way and to interest young people," Im going to speak from the youth's perspective. This doesn't interest me in the least!!! It may give a misguided, horny little thirteen year old boy some unnecessary images but I think I'd rather burn that tasteless idea of getting the "young people" interested in the bible. Why do people always assume that all kids are interested in these days is pornography?? They're picking a bad way to go about bringing the youth closer to God.
