the_rev Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 The SEcond of Two papal mini sereis about John Paul the Second is going to be on next. This movie has litterally changed my life, and I think it will create vocations for the Church. Watch it is on CBS next!
Era Might Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Ah man I forgot it was on! *rushes to turn the tv on*
Era Might Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 WOW! The guy playing Papa Ratzi looks JUST like him.
the_rev Posted December 8, 2005 Author Posted December 8, 2005 This movie allowed me to grow closer to Christ, and appreciate the life of John Paul the Second, May his soul rest in peace and may he be made a saint one day!
dUSt Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 What a great movie. I'm going to have to buy the DVD.
Extra ecclesiam nulla salus Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 that was the most moving thing i have ever seen! i wept. I see just how Holy a man Jp2 was and how much i miss him.
dUSt Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Great. The movie was immediatly followed by a show with an opening scene of a naked woman in bed laying next to a guy with tattoos. What a nice transition.
morostheos Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I just caught the last 25 minutes... Those last 25 minutes sure were good though, but I wish I had seen more than the sad part!
Fidei Defensor Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I barely ever cry when watching things, but the end made me cry.
the_rev Posted December 8, 2005 Author Posted December 8, 2005 I'm buying the DVD, but I also recorded it on VHS so I will transfer it to DVD with my DVD recorder. But it's nice to always have the original, and a back up copy to play nine million times!
Extra ecclesiam nulla salus Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) same. the end was very powerful. especially the last public appereance where he was wheeled back down, and he said, "I will try again tommorow." it truly moved me closer to christ. Philippe Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 i tivo'ed it. i'll be sure to watch it when i have a chance
homeschoolmom Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I thought tonight's was going to have to be three hours in order to get everything in... man, they moved along at a pretty quick clip... Good though...
cmotherofpirl Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I did cry. It was respectful and well done, and Ioved all the quotes. Many of the commercials breaks were Catholic advertisements
jiyoung Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I cried as well...the last public appearance in particular made me choke up with tears.
Tony Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 yeah I saw some of it.. the ending included..quite moving. Curious on what some of the advertisers were (I didn't watch any commercials)
