homeschoolmom Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 I just looked in the livingroom-- there's a fort... so much for cleaning. I hope Father likes camping in the livingroom...

They make you feel so ... safe or something.

But I dont' think we'd hang out at the movies together or anything. We haven't known him very long. The last couple of times he's come on Friday, which makes cooking an interesting situation. Though his homily last Sunday was really heavy on the idea of locusts and wild honey... so, guess what I'm serving tonight...

I used to love building forts when I was little... i agree with Sojourner, it is definitely a security thing. the last day of classes was yesterday and finals start on monday. i only have 2 finals and 1 writing portfolio to do and then i'm done with school forever!
blovedwolfofgod Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 my scholl had a delay... a largely commuter college, a foot of snow, and a two hour delay... in pennsylvania... who do they think we are? michiganians? unfortunately, my classes dont start til 11 (yay for being an upperclassman) so i still had to go...
Andrea348 Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 i am off today......not an inch of snow at home. don't know what they got where my school was....but now it is sunny here and i'm gonna enjoy my day off.
blovedwolfofgod Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 actually, i think i may go up to the newman club house today and build me a fort! finals are next week and we gotta do something nuts.
homeschoolmom Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Father just called and he's not feeling well. For a microsecond I considered suggesting he come sit in our fort by the fire, but well... so he's not coming tonight.
blovedwolfofgod Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 but it would have made him feel so much better... he just would not have realized it til he got there. forts make everyone feel better.
Theologian in Training Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Formation was cancelled because the campus closed

I had no idea of your importance. EVERYONE got the day off 'cause YOUR car smells of elderberries. You're just....wow....amazing.... Oh, wait. Is "work" a bunch of Mexicans standing around the gas station, and you bus 'em all to the location? Ah, it's all becoming clear now.
