Azriel Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Christmas Story, without a doubt. "Randy lay there like a slug. It was his only defense."
Ash Wednesday Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 My brother almost shot my eye out with his bb-gun. It didn't have pellets in it, it wasn't pointed directly at me either, actually. But we were having an argument which escalated and some sort of threat was made and he fired the gun off. My poor mom went ballistic. And I actually don't recall what time of the year it was. P.S. I have a grumpy dad like Ralphie's dad.
Fiat_Voluntas_Tua Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 "Raphie! i can't put my arms down!!! RAPHIE!" I love this movie... not as much as "It's a Wonderful Life." Zuzu's petals! Merry Christmas, Andrew Jaeger
Sojourner Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Probably "A Christmas Story" ... my aunt has a penchant for giving me clothing that's TOTALLY out of character for me, in the vein of the pink bunny suit. She didn't this year, but she did give me a book of sappy stories.
photosynthesis Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I voted "a christmas story" my family is like the antithesis of norman rockwell
Thy Geekdom Come Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Let's see...my brother totalled his car on Christmas Eve and then refused to go to Mass...my older brother was half and hour late for dinner (but luckily, the prime rib took much longer to cook than it should have)...and because the prime rib took so long, my bearnaise sauce became a mess while waiting, but it still tasted fine. I'm worried about my little brother... Anyway, despite the disappointing lack of a pink bunny suit in my brothers stocking, I vote for Christmas Story.
stuckinamo Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 hands down, a Christmas story. my family is seriously lacking in class & manners. My sister and her boyfriend went to church drunk. (They are C&E Catholics.... and barely even that..) My brother and his fiancée did not attend mass. Burping contests between my brothers & father and breakfast yesterday. Drama at dinner! Haha, silly little cousin from Deleware reminds me of one of the boys from the movie. Mass chaos! But fun. So... definitely a Christmas Story.
Luthien Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I voted Norman Rockwell. My family has a lot of traditions for Christmas.
Norseman82 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Can we write in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"?

Now don't you get too attached, 'cuz we're takin' it with us when we leave here next month." *Clark chokes on his egg nog*
Lilllabettt Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 My family celebrations are always of the "Christmas Story" variety. "Over the years I got to be quite a connossieur of soap. Though my personal preference was for Lux, I found that Palmolive had a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor - heavy, but with a touch of mellow smoothness. Life Buoy, on the other hand... YECCHH! "
Azriel Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Christmas story - "Yellow eyes. I swear to God he had Yellow eyes" Christmas Vacation: "Eddie, I couldn't be more suprised if I woke up tomorrow with my head stapled to the carpet."
Old_Joe Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 My Mom says that "A Christmas Story" is accurate for the 1940's "My father worked in profanity the way other artists might work in oils or clay. It was his true medium, a master." "You'll shoot your eye out."
Carrie Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 This year my family attempted the Norman Rockwell thing, but we are truly "A Christmas Story" family. "Why did you touch that? You were always jealous of this lamp!"

Carrie Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 HERE is "A Christmas Story" in 30 seconds. :
LSW Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Oh man I love 'A Christmas Story'. I think the actor playing the dad should of won an Oscar or something.
