Excelsior1027 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 What my priest suggested to all of us in my parish on Sunday, when I get up in the morning, before anything else, say, "Mary, Mother, bring me closer to your Son today."

CreepyCrawler Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Well, my guy and I have put together a manifesto of sorts for this new year describing the 'rules' we have to stay chaste and not tempt each other, so that's my group resolution: stay pure. My individual resolutions are: to read the Bible more, pray every day, take care of my body and visit the Eucharist reguarly when I'm at school.

scardella Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 I don't like New Year's resolutions... I find that if I need to do something, I need to get on the ball and do it. I think most new year's resolutions fail because they aren't taken seriously. Usually I'm only serious about something to do it when i'm thinking about it, so to make efforts to do it starting on the new year is simply a way of putting something off. I should mention (to make it seem completely contradictory) that my gym just opened yesterday from Katrina, so I'll be resuming workouts indefinitely. (Pray for perseverance!)
Deeds Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Stop drinking instant coffee at home (I drink loads, like about 5 mugs a day, and all that caffeine is really bad for iron absorption.) Lose 10lbs. Go to Confession more.
Tink Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006
To better balance school and fun....
Amen to that!!
