dandy777 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I am asking all those of you who truly believe in the power of prayer and Jesus' Might and Glory to join me in prayer. Our parish priest and I have been working on a specially animated Adoration all month. This will take place tomorrow. I believe that something great will happen in the hearts of those who will attend as all hell has broken lose this entire week. The priest who is to lead the adoration has been sick all week, the worship leader is in hospital's casualties (had severe chest pains) and the main singer cannot attend because her child has fever. I believe this is a spiritual attack and I ask you to join me in intercession as I believe that this adoration will still take place tomorrow.
OLAM Dad Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 What exactly is 'a specially animated Adoration'?
dandy777 Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 (edited) It is a normal adoration. The only difference is that we have a worship team who sings soft worship music during the adoration to help people come into the presence of God. This is done once a month and it is targeted for those who are not accustomed to pray or attend Church regularly. We have a normal quiet adoration (no music) on a daily basis then. The Mater Dolorosa Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I will say a St. Michael for you, let me know how it turns out! It sounds really cool!
Crispy Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 much prayers! i feel like there is an attack on this adoration by Satan to keep it from working out. pray hard, i think lots of good will come out of your efforts.
Church Punk Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Lord Jesus, make your healing presence known; strengthen all those involved in this special Adoration. Draw all hearts to you. ... Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God - cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. We pray in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen.
dandy777 Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 Thanks for your prayers dear friends. I urge you to keep on praying for this adoration. So far, I have been contacted by the priest who is going to lead the adoration and he seems to be better. Yet the worship leader has been asked to stay in hospital under observation at least for the next 24hrs. So please let's keep on praying. I have high hopes and deep faith that all will turn out well. Glory be to God!

Lil Red Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 there are some great prayers here for spiritual warfare: http://www.oswc.org/Prayers.asp Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

journeyman Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Trusting in the promise that whatever we ask the Father in Jesus' name He will do, I now approach You Father with confidence in Our Lord's words and in Your infinite power and love for me and for dandy777 and her parish, and with the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, Blessed Archangel Michael, my guardian angel and the guardian angels of dandy777, her priest, worship leader, musicians and her group prepared to worship You in adoration, with all the saints and angels of heaven, and Holy in the power of His blessed Name, and ask you Father to protect dandy777, her priest, her worship leader, the musicians, and your other praying children, and keep them from the harassment of the devil and his minions. Father I ask on behalf of dandy777's entire parish that You build a hedge of protection around them, like that which surrounded Job, and to help them to keep that hedge repaired and the gate locked so that the devil and his minions have no access or means to breach the hedge except by your expressed will. Father, I know that we are powerless against the spiritual forces of evil and recognize our utter dependence on You and Your power. Look with mercy upon dandy777, and the other members of her parish. Do not look upon their sins, O Lord; rather, look at the sufferings of your Beloved Son and see the Victim whose bitter passion and death has reconciled us to You. By the victory of the cross, protect them from all evil and rebuke any evil spirits who wish to attack, influence, or breach Your hedge of protection in any way. Send those enemies back to Hell and fortify Your Hedge for their protection by the blood of Your Son, Jesus. Send your Holy Angels to watch over them and protect them. Father, all of these things I ask in the most holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. Thank you, Father, for hearing my prayer. I love You, I worship You, I thank You and I trust in You. Amen.
dandy777 Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 I thank you all for your prayers and support. You cannot imagine how important is that to me. I feel I should share this with you. Yesterday I was panicking a bit since I saw all those attacks but then I prayed for a whole hour and I felt a great peace within. As I was praying I felt God telling me to read John 4:21 (the passage about worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth). I was filled with hope and I asked God to show me who He wants to lead worship. A person came to my mind and that was the same person that later on during the day the worship leader suggested me on the phone. So I contacted the person but he didn't give me a definite answer immediately as he had to check out his schedule. Then I felt that I should pray the rosary (a prayer that I usually don't say much but yesterday I really felt that I should say it). I prayed Mary to intercede for me and the whole congregation in front of Jesus, to protect us against the devil and to come in aid of us. At that very moment, the person I contacted to lead worship phones back to confirm his presence at the adoration. I was awestruck! God's hand really started to move as suddenly He also provided another person to replace the singer, a female singer with an angelic voice. It seems that these two people were in God's mind and if this is His will, I humbly respect it and serve it. The adoration will start in 6 hours time and there are still some small things to be settled. So I ask you to keep us all in your prayers. Later on I will tell you what has happened. Glory be to God the Father, the Son King of kings and Lord of lords and to the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen!
dandy777 Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 Hey friends, I've just come back from church. Our God is a faithful God. I wanted to proclaim His great faithfulness, love and grace with all of you. First of all, the worship leader has been discharged from hospital and everything seems fine and secondly the adoration was simply awesome. The presence of God was felt by many people as many entered into real deep worship, in spirit and truth just as the reading I got during my quiet time. There were many people who usually don't attend mass or don't actually believe in Christ and were so touched by the presence of the Eucharist that they decided to give their lives to Jesus. There was a river of people flowing towards the Blessed Sacrament. It was amazing! I was so moved I almost cried and the only words that came to my mind and mouth at that moment were "God is Great!" We really worship a fabulous God! Thanks be to you Holy Spirit, all Praise be to you Most Beloved Jesus, all Glory be yours Father in Heaven! I love you!
