I got my promise ring at a craft show. It's gold with flowers and vines etched into it. That way, if I do get married, I can melt my ring down into my husband's wedding band. I used to wear it on my left ring finger, but everyone got confused. I'm 17, but I look about 23, so everyone at the retirement home where I worked thought I was married. Now it's on my right ring finger.

That is the most AWESOME idea I've ever heard for what to do with a chastity ring. I've always assumed one would just give it to one's oldest daughter, but melting it into your husband's wedding band is infinitely cooler.
