Novena

[FutureScholastica]

Hi,

I was just wondering how to go about praying a novena? I know what it is, but not the specifics of how to go about praying one.
Also, I was wondering if anyone knows a good one for discerning a vocation to the religious life?

Thank you!

a novena is basically "Nine days of public or private prayer for some special occasion or intention" (Pocket Catholic Dictionary). there are novenas for many different intentions. here are a few novenas you could pray specifically for vocations and discernment of a vocation:
--Novena in Honor of St. John Marie Vianney
--Novena for Priests

however, you could actually pray a novena to any saint, or one of the many novenas to mary and/or Jesus and just make discernment of a vocation your intention when you pray it. so, there is actually alot to choose from. for a list of novenas, go here:
