He is irresponsible and deep down only cares about his own needs. This is an outrage. This will not help his students to become better people. It will help them to become more confused. But that's JOLLY GOOD as far as the world is concerned. I am starting to weary of carp like this.

crazymaine catholic
i can't imagine what a blow this would be to a family. a father or brother, after 71 years of life, decides they feel like screwing up their anatomy, and changes their sex. how selfish can someone be? toledo_jesus
he's ugly ugly ugly. And he's 71, his haircut is way too young for him. It's called "old lady hair" and it's the law.

Cathurian
Whatever you think of sex changes -- that's not the point of my comment here -- I just want to say that it is NOT just some sick, selfish whim. There are countless stories just like this, of elderly people getting sex changes, because they tried their entire lives to live as one gender, and, near the end of it, realised they had very little time left and their entire lives up until this point had been nothing but misery. Do you have any idea what a depressing thought that is? Young transsexuals, that get their sex changes as soon as they're legal adults, end up with about 20 years of "wasted time", 20 years of past they can never casually disclose (because they lived it as the other gender), and 20 years of absolute misery and trauma. It is bad enough for them. Take all that, raise it to the third or fourth power and you might approach the pain of older transsexuals. Think about what it would mean to live 60 or 80 years and hate every last second of it. Think about it for a second, and you'll see why people in their 80's get sex changes. It is not just something people do on a whim. It is the result of years and years of torture. There's one transsexual who also had cancer, and know what she said? She said being transsexual was worse than the cancer. This is not a defense of the person's actions. I'm making no statement in regards to that, just want to make that clear. But these people go through unimaginable pain, it's not a random act of selfishness. Please don't judge this person's heart. I admit I may be wrong as well, perhaps they are just selfish and inconsiderate and indulging a whim. But I find that very, very unlikely, because in my personal experience, and my experience with many, many others who have had this same problem, it is NOT a selfish act but an action almost always taken on the brink of suicide. Please, please don't be so quick to judge.
Andrea348
this story is from my area.....it is plastered ALL over the news. i think it is absolutely horrible that he was accepted back as a substitute. As a public school teacher, this is not in the best interests of the kids. You can't have somebody teaching them that they once knew as a male come back as a female. The kids wouldn't be able to concentrate and, at least at my school, would not be very accepting of him/her/whatever.

Males become eunuchs and females have their urethra extended... nothing more. After the opperation, the pain will still be there. They will still have an emptiness. An opperation is not going to take away anything except flesh. They have a disorder that has had many years of development that a physical change will not fix. Someone with this kind of disorder should not be around children. They have something wrong with God and until they get right with God they will always have the problems that haunt them.
