Are we saying that debating Mormons on the internet is like eating baby returning cows? I get confused easily.

Yah I've seen that before. They predated Nazism, though. The swastika is some kind of ancient symbol.

Well, yeah....

They're taking them down, though, and replacing them with depictions of the Luminous Mysteries...

[quote name='thessalonian' date='Mar 20 2006, 01:00 PM']Please be kind to the Mormons.  I worked with them in Utah for 8 years and they are very nice (albiet decieved) people who need our truth and our prayers.    I don't believe it is good apologetics to start attacking "their god".  That is not what the Apostle Paul did when he strolled in to the Aeropogus in Acts 17.  By all means give them reason for the hope that is within you but be careful what you say with regard to what they believe or in judging their hearts.  Focus more on Catholicism than what is wrong with Mormonism.  True sheep will hear the voice of Christ in what you say that is true.

I was super nice to them. It was interesting having them over in fact. And of course I didn't "attack" their "god", but I did make it clear that we believed in a completely separate God than the idea that they have.

Our biggest debate came about baptism and who has the authority to administer it.

It comes from another word that means "well being"

I had some mormons come up to my door once, I was talking to them (and I happened to be home alone (AHHHH!) at the time) and I accidentally closed the door. I forgot that I didn't have a key with me, nor a cell phone, so I had an adventure trying to get back in. It was interesting talking to them, though. At least I had pants on.

....?

The Amish don't go door to door trying to convince you of the evils of electricity, buttons, and combustion engines.

No, I am just saying it was quite interesting that they were at Cabelas. It is a fishing and hunting store.

I've seen them at McDonalds and stuff too. It's not opposed to their culture or anything. I used to live in Northern Indiana by a really great grocery/fabric store of theirs. I miss it!

Yeah, I read a fictional book about the Amish. It was awesome!

I have an uncle and he got tired of JWs coming to his house. So one day, he called his brother who was an Indian chief and askeed to borrow his big ceremonial feather headress and book of Indian witchcraft, went to the store and bought a whole chicken and some white sheets.
When the JWs came, he wrapped the sheet around him, put on the headdress, grabbed the chiken in one hand and the book in the other, opened the door and said "I can't come right now, I'm sacrificin' chickens. Come back next week."

They never came back.

lol

You should have ripped a page out of the book of Mormon and used it for a coaster.
