homeschoolmom Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I woke up this morning and got ready for school... I came down and the kids were all excited! They'd already eaten breakfast and done most of their school. HSdaughter took her math test and HSson started (Ie taught himself) a new lesson in math. They'd practiced their spelling and reading. HSdaughter had done her writing assignment (she loves having her desk in her room!) So, all we have left is history and science... and it's only 7:30. I'm becoming obsolete...
Jaime Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Now you know how I feel, Your kids have never needed me!

Brother Adam Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 wow. I hope my kid(s) are like that. You should be one proud mommy. I only remember getting up and ready once before my mom. Actually I had made her breakfast too. She was like "Where is my son?"

My siblings and I have done that a few times in our lives, starting several years ago, but there's plenty of irresponsibility yet.
toledo_jesus Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 the sooner they finish school the sooner you can put them out to work! Then you can use their meager incomes to supplement your own craven desires for ranch popcorn! You have to look at the bright side of things.

Thy Geekdom Come Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 You should teach them fractal geometry as punishment for getting ahead of themselves...you know, like when you get caught smoking and your dad makes you smoke a whole pack...
