The Gospel message, correctly interpretted, is the Sacraments and the Faith. It's the account of the Life of Christ, His Coming into the World, Suffering, Dying, Rising...His founding a Church and establishing the Sacraments for the Faithful members of His Church...followed by accounts of the Early Church after His Resurrection.

So, living the Gospel message is receiving the Sacraments and keeping the Faith.
