Ryan did sing really, really well (my mom watched part of the show with me and she commented on how well he did). The first show I hated him and wanted him gone, but he has improved so much I am really enjoying some of his performances now.

I didn't like Zayra at all, though... well, let me rephrase that. I think she put on a good "show", very flashy and interesting to watch. I hated the way she sang the song.

Didn't like Josh, either... or Patrice for that matter. When Jason and Gilby played the rockers who performed with them seemed to try harder, bring it to the table... Patrice didn't really change much other than her hair from where I was sitting.

As always, I loved Storm's performance.

patrice sucked it up big time. i was hoping the hair might do something but it obviously did NOT. why do they tell them they did so well when they so obviously did NOT?

And Dana is gone... I'm glad, but I sort of wish that it had been Jill this week... still, Dana just didn't have the edge needed for this band, she was destined for elimination. I was pretty surprised that Zayra actually managed to escape the bottom 3 this week--Mariah must have been spamming the polls.

hehe, no. actually, i cant figure out how to vote online.

it appears that Zayra's flashy performances are paying off, the judges love how she mixes things up. peforming well (putting on a good show) is just as important as singing well. and Zayra has proven that she can sing, and she sounded awesome when she sang "Everybody Hurts."

i felt bad for Dana, she handled that really well though.

You can only vote right after the show (the polls close after like 4 hours) but if you go to www.rockstar.msn.com on the right hand side there is a tab/icon you click that says vote and that opens up a seperate page... I haven't voted this season, but last year you clicked on the picture of the rocker you wanted to vote for and registered your vote that way (I think you had to type in one of those security code things like when you register for a website/e-mail account).

You're right, Zayra does put on a great show, but I think she needs to be very careful about her song selections because performances that look cool but sound not so great will still hurt her in the end. She CAN sound awesome, and she needs to stick to the songs that will work best with her voice... that doesn't mean not changing it up and trying new things, it just means be careful at the very least in the way the song is arranged and what keys she sings in. I think that if she ends up in the bottom three again they may decide that thats a sign she isn't right for the band if she keeps landing there--thats how Chris got the boot, bottom 3 two weeks in a row.

cool thanks for the voting tips IcePrincess. I may give it a try if i really like Zayra's performance next week.
she's been in the bottom three too much so it seems she may not be around towards the end.
and you're so right, she does need to stick to songs that work with her voice best then maybe she will wow all of you in doing so too.

There were some really good performances last night. And a couple really band ones...

I didn't like Jill's performance, I mean, she had alot of energy but her vocals... nuh-uh. Zayra wasn't in her best form last night, either, IMHO. Toby's megaphone stunt, not his greatest moment, but up until that I was really liking his performance. I was actually quite impressed with Lukas; I can't say I necessarily LIKED his performance (some parts just made me laugh), but he finally did something a different and took Jason's advice about using his voice properly. Storm did really, really well on "We are the champions" (remember last season JD really messed it up?). Tommy getting up and playing with Josh was pretty cool, too. Ryan.... lets just say it was interesting. I still don't think Patrice is really changing it up all that much, to me it sounds like she sings every song the same way. Magni was pretty awesome, too. You could tell how happy he was to see his family, it was an "awwww" moment.

I was surprised that no one but Dilana wanted to sing with Gilby (she really rocked, too). I would have been so offended. Seriously, they should be jumping at that opportunity, so what if they mess up at least they took the chance, ya know? Thats what this whole show is about, being a part of their band, not fighting for the opportunity to play with them makes it seem like they don't really care that much about "winning."

TWO people gone tonight... shoooot. Jill and Josh. I was really surprised that Ryan got bottom 3, I thought that it'd be Jill, Josh, and either Zayra or Patrice. Actually... I'd rather see Patrice gone first, at least Zayra is entertaining even if I don't think she can hack it with this band. lol

yes, Patrice must go. she bores me i really liked Ryan and Lukas, they did great and it looked like they were performing at a real concert last night. Zayra was good, not really my favorite performance last night though.
and i enjoyed Ryan tonight, that is one of my favorite Depeche Mode songs

Yeah, thats how I feel about Patrice, too. I really enjoyed her performance the first night... but it just feels like its the same thing over and over and over.

When they showed the part where Jill called the other girls on not jumping at the chance to play with Gilby, I have to say, I actually DID agree with what Zayra said. The band put so much emphasis on making the right song choices that, in a way, it would be foolish to go for a song ONLY because one of the band members was playing--I am still surprised that ONLY Dilana jumped at the chance because there were 10 people, there should have been at least one or two more people wanting to grab that chance, ya know?

Yes, and it did seem a little rude that the others wouldn't perform with Gilby ( like he was snubbed or something) but, I agree with Zayra too.

I think me and IcePrincess are the only two Rockstar: Supernova fans left on phatmass. its getting exciting too...this week TWO were eliminated.

My 2cents:

1) I'm bored with Patrice.
2) I'm glad Jill AND Josh are gone. I really have been waiting for them to cut 2 @ a time b/c we all know at least that those two were NOT fronting Supernova. There are really only a small number of real contenders in my mind, those being Storm, Ryan, Lukas, Toby, Dilana, and Magni. From the beginning I knew they would be the only true contenders, and it's gonna end up that way.
3) Supernova is so old, and yet they rock so well!
4) And finally... stop dressing the rockers in rosaries. They are not fashion accessories.

Good to see another person chiming in.... I don't feel so alone. lol I pretty much agree with all of your points... I'm still unsure about Ryan's stance as a contender, but I think he is beginning to really show his stuff these past couple weeks, so he's definately coming closer.
