DAF Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006
I don't think I know that one ...
Gather Us In is supposed to be a Catholic song written by a gentleman named Marty Haugen. Alot of conservative Catholics are up in arms about his music being used in the liturgy because his music is so untraditional and and new-agey.

Didn't so much grow up on Marty Haugen.

homeschoolmom Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Yeah, I think you're right about his not being Catholic.

DAF Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 That's very impressive that you could spell dromedary in grade school. 90% of the people at my HIGHSCHOOL wouldn't know what a dromedary was.
memory-singer Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Just a closer walk with thee Grant it Jesus is my plea Keep me walking close to thee Let it be, Dear lord, let it be. My grandma sang that and played the guitar. : dare
DAF Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 The Lord's been good to me, and so I thank the Lord, for giving me, the things I need, the sun and the rain and the apple seed. Amen, amen, amen amen amen amen. -Boy scout grace before meals.
homeschoolmom Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 That's from the Disney movie about Johnny Appleseed.
DAF Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 The Boy Scouts use it as a grace. There's another one about hiking or something, but I forget how it goes.

homeschoolmom Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 My daughter asked me today if she could be a Brownie. I told her she was too old-- that she'd be a Girl Scout. She asked if she could be a girl scout. I said no.
