Plus we have a lot of friar guests and they were always messing up in choosing what they thought were local numbers, plus our chaplain teaches at the local catholic university and he needed to be online, plus the telephone company thinks we're a business and would charge us for local calls! So cable turned out to be the cheapest thing! I grew up in the country, too! My folks still can't get EWTN! They aren't TV watchers anyway except for the news and old movie videos so they aren't about to get a dish.
