I think it's supposed to be HIV, the retrovirus that causes AIDS.

If I'm correct I guess it says a lot about Budge's mission on phatmass.

Do you seriously want to be associated with a virus?

For you, it might be appropriate, but it's typically a negative connotation. A virus does not infect a diseased body. The virus creates a diseased body. It lives off its host, corrupting inside what was pure. The disease is symptoms of the virus' destruction. The non-medical definition says a virus is "[url="http://www.onelook.com/?w=virus&ls=a"]a harmful or corrupting agency[/url]." Your choice of "virus" seems to fit you well.

I don't understand why Budge get's to use symbols but she bashes the church for using symbols. Seriously, I reeeaallly don't get Budge sometimes. I'm not just saying that.

If the somewhat recent studies are correct, and the outer proteins of HIV are in fact coated with a layer of sugar molecules which allow the virus to go undetected by the immune system, I would say I've found one respect in which the Budge-HIV comparison fails. Budge can hardly be described as sugar coated.

I guess if the spirit of the insult fits the first guideline: "[i]a post or comment that has nothing to do with the topic, but is specifically meant to upset or criticize another person or group of people[/i]", a person would risk getting warned (depending on how insulting it is; minor insults often pass without notice). The trick is to be sort of tongue-in-cheek about it. My retrovirus statement was obviously nothing more than a lame witticism in which the sappy humor was the major point of the statement, the insult to Budge was minor and perhaps merely an unavoidable side-effect (kind of reminds one of the principle of double-effect ).
