Skinny Jeans

Do make my own sometimes.
Last year I bought two really poorly cut gaucho pants in the biggest sizes that I could find. They had really cool material though grey with metalic pinstripe.
I made them into a vest and a pencil skirt from some old 1950's patterns, except I cut the skirt to just below the knee.
Actually in zara and such i am seeing some of the older dress dtyles come out, you know the Jackie O type ones.
They are more covering and classy.

I love retro fashions, they are normally much more modest, but I still wish there were more dresses out there that are not, you know, prom dresses.

Just as a part of my rant...
I go to hockey games a lot, and some of the girls there ( my dad calls them Puck Bunnies, I dont know why) dress so imodestly! And it is cold in there. They wear these really tight jeans, really high heels and low cut tops. What's wrong with a sweater and sneakers? Maybe it's just because I am looking to the religious life.

Yeah, too low is bad....but too high can be just as bad.
I mean who wants to tuck their boobs into thier jeans? My jeans can only handle one set of cleavage at a time.

That is why I like Express....because their pants fit my butt. And the rest of me might I add and they are not so low that you can see any part of me that I can't see.

Ditto. Express is my favorite place to buy jeans. Its one of the few more expensive places I'm willing to shell out cash for. The jeans aren't low riders in the sense that anyone wearing them should apply for a plumbers job, but they are low enough so they set juuust right. I only own 2 pairs of jeans that aren't Express, and granted they are pretty freakin' sweet (otherwise I never would have bought them), but you just can't find that often enough. When I find a good brand that works with my figure I stick with it.

Oh, I love my Express pants. the only problem is that they only carry short pants in black and grey, so every other pant I buy there has to be tailored.

you got one - AMEN!

When I heard leggings was coming back in fashion. My immediate thought was "what type of fashion is that? You can't call that fashion" it's like going to the gym outside.

I seriously want to start my own fashion line. I LOVE fashion (modest fashion, not that carp clothing Runway has). Someday. ;) I plan all my outfits days ahead, *cough* yeah. Anyway. All my pants are so big for me, but I'm not bothering to buy new ones until I lose all my fat, I think I'm digressing. I'm dreading looking for new pants though, either it's too big in the back or too tight. It STINKS. I'll have to look at Express, I've never shopped there before....

Skirts rule.

sorry... another guy here, butting in (that's seriously not an intentional pun)

I want to just reaffirm my whole skirt stance for girls.

Skirts are hot. (not refering to the ones way too above the knee, those are just sleezy)
And I'm not just trying to sell the whole 'modest' agenda thing. I really think that they are the most attractive. But I still think it's attractive for girls to wear the flare type jeans, if it's possible to find the modest ones.

I wish I could truly sympathize with the immodesty crisis in clothes shopping, but it's not too difficult for me to buy a decent pair of carpenters over at Target or Walmart.

Keep up the good work! I wish I heard more of the cries for purity in our cuture...
