Skinny jeans... pff. Just a fad.

I'm going to have to take a look at Express now. It'd be a good excuse to use my employee discount. :D:

sorry... another guy here, butting in (that's seriously not an intentional pun)

I want to just reaffirm my whole skirt stance for girls.

Skirts are hot. (not refering to the ones way too above the knee, those are just sleezy)
And I'm not just trying to sell the whole 'modest' agenda thing. I really think that they are the most attractive. But I still think it's attractive for girls to wear the flare type jeans, if it's possible to find the modest ones.

I wish I could truly sympathize with the immodesty crisis in clothes shopping, but it's not too difficult for me to buy a decent pair of carpenters over at Target or Walmart.

Keep up the good work! I wish I heard more of the cries for purity in our cuture...

Thank you very much, it is very nice to have guys who like it when girls dress modestly. Maybe skirts were just pounded into my head ( at my school we had a uniform, skirt, vest, tie...) but I honestly think that they are way more comfortable then pants. Pants have their uses, dont get me wrong. I am hiking Tuckerman's Ravine on Mt. Washington later this week, and to wear a skirt would be terribly unpractical, but overall, I prefer them.

Hey now, I look smokin' hot in my jeans. :P:

(I don't like skinny jeans, either, Balthazor.)

:pimp:
What is really funny is that one of my best friends was completly shocked when the only normally dressed girl on the street approached him and tried to sell sex.
The poor guy was schocked and he was like, "I don't understand this country! All the hookers dress like prostitutes and the prostitutes dress like normal girls! I just don't understand."

He is right though, the girls here wear things as short and tight as they can. I think that the only reason the streetwalkers dress a little more practical is becaue they stand out in the cold at night on a corner. That can get cold.

not to butt in, but read that someone noted Express is related w/ Planned Parenthood - if it's true - maybe someone should into it before going there and giving them money again.

[Aren't there any good Catholics who own clothes lines?]

Actually there are. this one website sells extra-long undershirts and shirts.

www.shadeclothing.com

I buy shirts there and do my best to find some moderetly high jeans.

Yeah I saw someone posted Express being affiliated with planned parenthood. I looked and tried to find something and couldn't. In any case Express not encouraging teen pregnancy and abortion as much as some of the other stores selling skankier clothing. You should see some of the stuff that people go clubbing in.

Please let me have Express and Buckle and I will be happy. Those are the only two stores that I can seem to find anything that I like.

Well.... no, gaining 40+ lbs isn't exactly my most attractive "look", but at least my maternity jeans aren't the kind with the huge stretchy panel across the front. Those bug the heck out of me. When I'm back to my normal skinny self I'm definately smokin' hot in my jeans, though. :P:

<_< Ok.
I am airing my beef because I know some of you girls out there are too shy to air it first.
I hate "skinny Jeans".

Unless you weight 12 pounds and are 6'2" they do not look good, they make your butt look big and they are a sin against modesty though I am not really sure how, since they make you look worse..... :idontknow:

But Worse they are a sin against fashion. So please, please join me in Prayer that skinny jeans be eliminated from the face of the earth and that Express will open up a store in Prague.

CAn I get an AMEN?
[/quote]

Amen! :saint:
They are not flattering AT ALL.

I don't think skinny jeans look good, and I am all for buying long tops (they have some pretty cool ones now, too), to cover up the rear end. I believe that we women can be naive when it comes to understanding that what we wear can lead men into temptation. That is dangerous business, and there are easy remedies which can make our outfits more modest without making them ugly.

I have to put in a plug for finding Calvin Klein jeans on SALE (I hope they don't contribute to Planned Parenthood....), because they tend to have nice-fitting, loose, not-to-high and not-way-too-low jeans. They work for me, at least :)

However, you don't have to take my advice because I only have one pair of jeans. I am totally a skirt girl. Talk about not having to worry about body parts being too big, too small... everything goes right when you're wearing a skirt (as long as it's knee-length or below), especially blue jean skirts :)
