When he startes to get a sore throat he downs a bottle of wine and does a little accupressure. He got strep really bad one year (he had a fever and was even hallucinating--he was driving and had a "vision" of a brick wall coming up in front of him out of the ground) and refuses to get it again. He always follows his wine and accupressure ritual and hasn't gotten it again since we've been married.

[/quote] Pretty sure that's the Z-pack. I had strep like 3 times, then bronchitis/pneumonia (they didn't know which) for over a month before I went to get checked out. They gave me the Z-pack and I started to feel a lot better within a week after I finished the pills. It may take even less time for you to start feeling better, if you haven't had it that long, and you don't have anything lovely like bronchitis or whatever to go with it. Praying that you feel better and STAY better.
