Caldey is a lovely, peaceful island. The Cistercian Monks manufacture perfume which is sold in their shop on the mainland in Tenby. It is in Wales... a separate country in the UK !!!

Aren't there some nuns near by too? I think I saw a picture of them once, but I dont really remember...

Yes there are some norbertine nuns in CA. They are in Tehachapi. Here is a slide of them [url="http://www.bakersfield.net/Photography/slideshows/nuns/index.asp"]Sisters in the Mountains Audio Slide Show[/url]. I found it via the American Cloisters web page.

I've seen this slide show before. They seem very serene. It's been in my 'favorites' on my browser for a long time. :D:

Thank you for sharing the slides of the Norbetine Community. I agree ,they look so serene as they go about their daily lives.
