Thy Geekdom Come Posted January 20, 2007 Share Posted January 20, 2007 Such a belief is not a part of the deposit of faith required for belief by all the faithful, but it seems to me that it is perfectly fine if one holds it as a pious tradition (lower-case t). However, it is a part of definitive Catholic teaching that Mary suffered with Christ, so this seems consistent with that, even if not necessarily following from it.
