Can I Get Ashes?

Paddington

Recommended Posts

I have heard that I can get ashes and a blessing and that it is totally separate from being in communion. Eh? Not much time left on the clock for this answer! I could attend the Spanish service before work on Wednesday. I'm thinking about it. Ashes or not. :saint:

Yes, you are permitted to receive the ashes. They are not sacramental in nature. As for the blessing, non-Catholics are positively encouraged to receive one if they go to Mass.

what a linguistic oddity... they are indeed a "sacramental", they are not a "sacrament"

but the adjective "sacramental" might refer to both. so they are sacramental in nature :ninja:

lol... okay, anyway Paddington, you can definitely get ashes. you too are made of dust ;)
