treynolds
During Lent, is it inappropriate to continue to do your penance on Sundays or should you "rejoice". I know that we should continue to feel sorrow for our sins and seek to extend mercy to others. Also, i have heard from different sources about the rosary mysteries during Lent. Does it follow the same pattern( Monday-Joyful, Tuesday-Sorrowful, Wednesday-Glorious....) or is it only Sorrowful. Or is it Glorious on Sundays and Sorrowful the rest??? thanks in advance To Jesus through Mary
Pio Nono
JMJ 2/28 - First Wednesday of Lent maryslave, Even during Lent, Sunday is to be a day of rejoicing and praising God for the Resurrection of Jesus. Therefore, fasting is inappropriate. Rejoice! Have that extra piece of chocolate! As for the mysteries of the Rosary, traditionally, the only change is that the Sorrowful Mysteries are said on Sundays instead of the Glorious Mysteries. Hope this helps!
