Challice After Mass

I know that a priest must purify the challice after each Mass. Are they allowed to wash them (w/ soad and water) after all of the Masses for the weekend?? We were talking about this at one of my bible studies and no one seemed to know, but I got the impresstion they weren't and that just dind't make sense. I figured after they were purified and all of the precious blood was out, they could sanitize them w/ at least dish soap and wather.

Janana8706,

So long as the chalice has already been purified, it can be washed after each Mass. There's no problem with that. Hope this helps.
