Pax Christi
Well, on Sunday after the 9:30 mass I was suprised to see my sister- in-law who never attended church. Since I have been praying so diligently every day to God for a blessing and since the scripture that was read was the "prodical son" I was encouraged enough to approach her and her new boyfriend. When I said, "Hello" to her she answered me back in kind as we approached the bottom of the steps outside of our church. She asked how I was and that is when I began to cry.....tears of joy and pain. She grabbed me in her arms and hugged me so tightly and she wept with me. It was a great feeling as I told her, "I thought you hated me" and to hear her reply, "No, I love you. I know what is happening to you, your children and my sister and I don't like it." It had been over a year since we spoke and we spoke for over an hour about all the terrible things that were occuring in my life and the graces I was receiving from God. Our being reunified IS such another blessing. She asked me to be with her and her boyfriend next week at mass as I've been sitting by myself. She also said that she will be glad to help me in any way that she can concerning my girls and would ask my youngest to go to church with us as a "family". What JOY I have! In the midst of such sorrow God has lifted me up! To have an in-law who agrees with me and denounces what is happening has given me a new level of hope. I KNOW that God is working on my marriage and that my prayers will eventually be answered! My sister-in-law has seen how distant my wife has become towards everyone, including her who was once very close, and will be reaching out to her soon. Please, continue to pray for me, Lucinda, Bethany, Deanna and now Amy. Prayers ARE being answered! Thanks! Damian
