Ziggamafu
If I become a Knight of Columbus, does that rule out the possability of joing Opus Dei in the years to come? Can you be in both groups?
Didymus
There's no rule in the KoC that would not allow you from joining the Opus Dei. But I don't know any of the Opus Dei rules about joining the KoC. Why would you not be able to?
Colleen
I think Opus Dei encourages just being in one kind of apostolate. At least that has been my experience.
jswranch
I could not imagine OD telling folks they have to rescind their membership in KoC.
Red Knight
Please provide some background to the question. what have you heard?
Ziggamafu
I haven't heard anything. I've thought about Opus Dei every now and again and that it is probably something I would like to join later on in life, when things are a bit more settled. I never thought of the KoC until recently, when a series of events convinced me led me to believe I may be called to that group. I think I will probably join within a year from now. However, I still have a pretty strong attraction to Opus Dei - only that's something that I don't think I should seriously pursue for ten years or so...anyway, that's why I was wondering if by joining KoC now, I simultaniously make the certain decision not to ever be Opus Dei.
