MissScripture

I had a teacher in high school that I was student aide for. We both funtioned on the same wavelength, so while it was a "mess" by everyone elses standards, it worked for us. In a class she was taking (she was working on her masters) she siad that they had discussed how, what we were doing was organizing "globally." And, essentially, it was just as organized as "organized" people. There was some study where teachers were given a piece of paper with some information on it and told to keep it. Then, some time later (about a month, I think), the principle came in with a stop watch and told the person to find that paper, and timed them. The average time between "organized" and "unorganized" people was about the same. The people who used filed everything still had to remember what it was filed under. I just found that interesting, as I'm always chastised for being "unorganized," and yet, I rarely lose any homework or papers that I need.

I'm 23, and my mom still reminds me of the several months it took her to clean my room as a Christmas "present." I knew where everything was, at least before.
