Ok, I need someone to show me how to download sermons so that I can listen to them on my MP3 player.

I have gone to a number of Catholic websites to download a sermon or talk, only to be unsuccessful. For example,

http://www.focusonline.org/media_player.html

Do you have other talks you like to listen to?

Thanks for the help,
John

If you have in fact listen to the podcast on this websites, you have in fact been successful of downloading them, you just dont know where. You could try to search for it in one of the temp folders I believe, but that can get very hard.

I found this on about.com

If you're on the go and wish to record a particular radio program or channel, here are two ways that are free! But, be warned: this free program comes with no instructions. If you are not intuitive about such things, you may get frustrated withOpD2d. In that case, See the easier shareware programs using the link below.
Difficulty: Hard
Time Required: 1/2 hour
Here's How:

1. Download a free program called OpD2d. This is a direct-to-disk utility that records audio from your sound card.
2. See below for the URL to download it.
3. Install OpD2d.
4. Launch the program and use your mouse to point to the different controls on the interface. Pop-up help will quickly explain each function.

5. Choose where you will save your audio file (in .wav or mp3 format) then enter the Windows audio mixer (Start Menu-Programs-Accessories-Entertainment-Volume Control)and select STEREO MIX as your source.
6. Begin streaming your audio and try recording for a few seconds. Then, listen back to the output file you just recorded and if it's too low or to hot (distorted), adjust the level of input in the Windows Mixer.
7. Another option for streaming if you listen to web channels from Shoutcast is to use a program called Streamripper.
8. See below for the URL for Streamripper.

Tips:

1. Although it doesn't tell you anywhere on the program, to exit OpD2d, press ESC and it closes.

If you right click on the link to "download" the podcasts and choose "save as" you can save them and then load them on your mp3 player. You should also be able to subscribe to the podcast. Follow the steps on the right hand side of the Arinze webcast page to download itunes....
